WOOSTER, Ohio – The Earlham College field hockey team fell at Wooster 2-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) competition on Friday.
The Quakers held an 8-7 advantage in shots, but Wooster's Leah Prescott scored two goals in the first 13 minutes to gain the early advantage. Earlham would earn five penalty corners to Wooster's three, but could not beat Wooster goalkeeper Danielle Slichenmeyer in the first half.
In the second half, Earlham had seven penalty corners, but could not score. The Quakers held a 4-3 shots advantage in the second half.
Junior Megan Hut fired three shots in the contest while Kaitlyn Brunner had two. Senior goalkeeper Kate Korobkina made two saves in the loss.
Earlham returns to action tomorrow at Wooster tomorrow (Saturday) at 11 a.m.
