Sol Southall enters his second season as offensive coordinator on the Earlham College football staff in 2017.

Southall mentored Roderick Matthews, Wesley Hundley, and Marcaus Cooper to Second Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors. Hundley and Cooper combined for 79 receptions and seven touchdowns. Hundley also led the squad in rushing with 444 yards.

Southall has experience at the collegiate level having served as a co-offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and special teams coordinator at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, in 2013.

Before Sul Ross State, Southall served as a wide receivers coach at Hardin-Simmons University in 2010. The Cowboys finished the season 8-2 and led all of NCAA Division III in reception yardage.

Southall, a third-generation coach, graduated from Angelo State University in 2008 with a degree in business. He was a three-year starter for the Rams.

He resides in Richmond.
