EC Posts Victory Over Franklin

RICHMOND, Ind. The Earlham College women’s volleyball team picked up a 26-24, 20-25, 25-15, 25-22 victory Wednesday over Franklin College on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

The match was a non-conference affair. The two squads will meet at Franklin in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Oct. 6.

Ramona Hemmings led the Quakers with 12 kills including the final point of the match. She also led the squad with six aces, while contributing 20 digs.

Ashlee Heberger had 33 assists. Kazondra Ramos led the way with 29 digs and Callie Kinsey finished with 20 digs. Andrea Thompson topped the team with three blocks.

Earlham (1-0) visits Spalding University for three matches on Saturday against OSU-Marion, Rochester and the host school.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .
