Quakers Fall to Saints

RICHMOND, Ind. The Earlham College women’s soccer team opened the season on Wednesday with a 1-0 loss to Thomas More College on Matlack Field.

The Saints (1-0) scored at 10:57 to take an early lead.

Earlham had an 11-7 edge in shots and an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Megan Holthaus had three saves for the Quakers.

The Quakers (0-1) are at Ohio Northern University on Sunday. The non-conference match begins at 2 p.m.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
