Earlham Players Help RiverRats Win Final Home Game of 2010

RICHMOND, Ind. — Two Earlham College baseball players were pivotal in the Richmond RiverRats victory in the final home game of the 2010 season on Thursday.

Adam Painter earned the win on the mound with three scoreless innings, while Tyler Schroeder had two hits and scored the last two runs in a 5-4 victory over Slippery Rock on John Cate Field at McBride Stadium.

Emily Sells
Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Men's Basketball
Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
