Painter Selected to Attend Prospect League All-Star Game

RICHMOND, Ind. Earlham College baseball player Adam Painter has earned a spot in the Prospect League All-Star Game for the second straight season.

“I was very honored and humbled to be voted amongst the league's best,” Painter said in a Richmond Palladium-Item story. “It's a great experience to be able to play with players like that and to be able to go up against talent like that.”

The Prospect League all-star affair is Tuesday, July 6. The Quincy (IL) Gems are the host for the event.

Painter currently has a 2-1 record with a 1.29 ERA as a member of the Richmond RiverRats. In 21 innings this summer he has 15 strikeouts.

Emily Sells
Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Men's Basketball
Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
