Sutherlin and Ferrick Receive Top Team Awards

T.J. Ferrick was named the Mental Attitude Award winner for the men's basketball team on March 9.
RICHMOND, Ind. Earlham College Men’s Head Basketball Coach Jeff Justus announced the team’s post-season awards on Tuesday.

All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honorable Mention selection A. J. Sutherlin was named the team's Most Valuable Player. He led the Quakers in scoring at 16.8 and rebounding at 4.8 points per contest. He also received an award for the most rebounds.

T.J. Ferrick received the Mental Attitude Award.

Kyle Calder picked up awards for the highest free throw percentage (86.7) and most assists (120).

Marty Broderick received the award for the highest field goal percentage (48.0).

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
