RICHMOND, Ind.The North Coast Athletic Conference announced its post-season awards on Wednesday for women’s basketball and one Earlham College player was honored.

Nikki Darrett received All-NCAC Honorable Mention after topping the Quakers with 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season. She also averaged 2.0 assists and 2 .0 steals a contest.

Darrett led the Quakers in scoring 12 times this winter and reached a season-high 22 points three times against Adrian College, Hiram College and Wittenberg University.

Two times during the season, Darrett recoreded double-doubles. She had 18 points and 10 rebounds against Kenyon College, while scoring 13 points with a career-high 12 rebounds versus Oberlin. She added seven assists in the latter contest.

She also had a career-high eight assists in a 67-62 victory over Manchester College.

Earlham was 3-22 overall this season and 2-14 in the NCAC.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
