RICHMOND, Ind. — Six different players were honored on Friday as the post-season awards for the
Earlham College women's basketball were announced by Head Coach Liana Coutts.
Nikki Darrett,
Jayana Sims,
Karmell Brown,
Amelia Frazier,
Erin Litchfield and
Natasha Norman were each given an award for their contributions to the team this season.
Darrett was named the Most Impactful Player after receiving All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honorable Mention. She led the Quakers with 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season, while averaging 2.0 assists.
Sims received the Best Defensive Player Award for the second year in a row. She was second on the team in steals with 2.0 per contest. Offensively, she led the team with 2.4 assists a game.
Brown was selected as the Most Improved Player. She played in 15 games this year with most of her time coming in the second half to the season.
Frazier received the 6th Player Award. She played in 22 games and had a season-high nine points against
Wittenberg University.
Litchfield and Norman were given the Roy Schuckman Coach's Award. The award epitomizes the contributions of a player in several different aspects including attitude, desire and work ethic.
