Painter Named NCAC Pitcher of the Week

RICHMOND, Ind.Earlham College baseball player Adam Painter was honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Monday as the Pitcher of the Week.

Painter (1-1) went the distance on the mound for the Quakers last Saturday to earn the victory in the first game of a doubleheader against Delaware Valley College.

The junior gave up one run on seven hits with seven strikeouts and no walks as Earlham posted a 4-1 win.

The Quakers (1-4) are scheduled to resume play in Florida on Tuesday in a single game against Delaware Valley.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .
