RICHMOND, Ind. — Earlham College quarterback Dorian Jenkins was honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Sunday after Saturday’s performance in the Quakers beat Manchester College 31-21 in Darrell Beane Stadium.

Jenkins led the Quakers to a pair of scoring drives in the fourth quarter to earn the NCAC Offensive Player of the Week” for football.

The sophomore found Kyle Ripperger for a 7-yard touchdown pass on a fourth down play to give the Quakers a 24-21 advantage early in the final period.

The second drive of the fourth quarter ended with Jenkins scoring on a 9-yard run for the final touchdown of the contest.

Jenkins was 12-of-19 for 234 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for 37 yards and the final tally.

The Quakers (1-1) visit Anderson University on Saturday night for their initial road contest of the fall. The non-conference affair is at 7 p.m.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .
