Crumley-Effinger named to d3football.com's All-North Team

RICHMOND, Ind. Earlham College senior Max Crumley-Effinger received an honor this week from the Web site d3football.com.

The kicker made the d3football.com All-North Second Team after making an Earlham record eight field goals this season along with converting 20-of-21 extra points.

This is the third time Crumley-Effinger has been honored for his 2009 performance. He made the All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team, while being named Earlham’s Special Teams Player of the Year.

Crumley-Effinger made a school record 52-yard field goal against the College of Wooster. In the Anderson game this fall, he kicked three field goals to tie a mark set in 1997 by Kevin Willis against Ohio Wesleyan University.

In his career, Crumley-Effinger established school records in kicking points with 134, field goals with 16 and extra points with 86.

Emily Sells
Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
