RICHMOND, Ind. — All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honorable Mention selection
Keeley McAnnis-Entenman received one of five team awards announced by Earlham Head Volleyball Coach Natalie Alred on Monday night.
McAnnis-Entenman was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player. The senior led the Quakers in kills this season with 163. She was second in blocks with 61 and third in digs with 179.
Elizabeth Ross,
Michelle Surma,
Ashlee Heberger and
Sepideh Naderi were also honored.
Ross was named the team’s Defensive MVP. She led the squad in blocks with 79 (0.77 per game), while finishing second in digs with 201 (1.97).
Surma received the Light Up the Court Award, while Heberger earned the Pass the Torch Award. Naderi was selected as the Most Improved Player.
Getting better ever day was a goal for the Quakers as Alred completed her sixth year. “We definitely showed signs of improvement,” Alred said of her young squad. “It just didn’t show up in the win column.”
A couple of matches that did end up as victories were late season NCAC wins over
Kenyon College and
Ohio Wesleyan University.
“We have a better skill level and understanding of the game,” Alred said. “We have more room for improvement, but we have a solid core of returning players for next year and I’m excited about that.”
McAnnis-Entenman, Surma and Aleta Cox played the final matches of their careers this fall.
“We will definitely miss our seniors,” Alred said. “They have been a valuable part of our program during their time at Earlham.”
Earlham ended the season at 5-25 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
