Earlham Beats OWU in Season Finale

RICHMOND, Ind. The Earlham College volleyball squad ended its season on a high note Saturday afternoon as the Quakers defeated Ohio Wesleyan University 25-23, 25-18, 26-24 on Senior Day.

In the final contest of her career, Keeley McAnnis-Entenman led the Quakers with 14 kills and two solo blocks in the North Coast Athletic Conference match against the Bishops (3-27, 3-13).

Aleta Cox and Michelle Surma also played the last matches of their careers.

Nikki Darrett added five kills, while Ramona Hemmings, Andrea Thompson and Elizabeth Ross finished with four each.

Alicia Kees led the Quakers with 16 assists with Ashlee Heberger contributing 11 assists.

Ross topped the Quakers with 13 digs and Thompson added nine. McAnnis-Entenman had seven with Cox ending with six.

The Quakers finish the fall at 5-25 overall and 3-13 in the NCAC.

Emily Sells
Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
