RICHMOND, Ind. Earlham College first-year Joy Doucette was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for women’s soccer on Sunday night.

Doucette scored two of Earlham’s three goals last week as the Quakers qualified for the NCAC Tournament for the first time in school history.

She scored Earlham's only goal in Wednesday’s 1-1 double overtime tie at Kenyon that kept the Quakers alive for the post-season.

On Saturday, Doucette tied the Ohio Wesleyan University match with a score in the second half that helped the Quakers to a 2-1 victory over the Bishops.

For the season, Doucette leads the Quakers in scoring with six goals and five assists.

Earlham (11-6-1, 4-3-1) visits Denison University (15-2-2, 7-0-1) on Tuesday in the opening round of the NCAC Tournament at 7 p.m.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
