Earlham Participates in NCAC Championships

DELAWARE, Ohio The Earlham College men’s cross country team competed in the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Sean McGuire was the top finisher for the Quakers in 47th place with a time of 28:34.9 on the 8K course.

The other runners to score for the Quakers were:
Jacob Naegeli, 51st in 28:45.5.
Evan Fackler, 53rd in 28:50.6.
Adam Tobin, 90th in 30:23.3.
John White, 94th in 30:38.1.

Allegheny College won the 10-team event, with the Quakers finishing in ninth place.

Earlham is scheduled to participate in the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional hosted by Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute on Saturday, Nov. 14. The first race is at 11 a.m.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Ryan Taylor led Earlham with 19 points against nationally-ranked Transylvania University as the Quakers fell 89-76 to the Pioneers, who are ranked 18th in the latest d3hoops.com poll .

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.
