Tie Keeps Quakers Alive for Post-Season Play

GAMBIER, Ohio — The Earlham College women’s soccer team is still in the hunt for a spot in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament after a 1-1 double overtime tie with Kenyon College on Wednesday.
The Quakers (10-6-1, 3-3-1) are at
Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday for a conference match at 7 p.m. The Quakers need a victory to make the four-team NCAC Tournament field.
The Ladies (6-10-1, 3-3-1) scored in the first half on Wednesday to lead 1-0 at intermission.
Joy Doucette responded for the Quakers with an unassisted goal in the second period at 55:12 to tie the match.
Earlham led 17-14 in shots and a 5-4 in corner kicks. Goalkeeper
Megan Holthaus had three saves for the Quakers.
