RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team ended the home portion of its schedule Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 loss to
Kenyon College.
Kate Birdsall started the scoring in the North Coast Athletic Conference affair with Earlham’s goal at 13:59, but the Ladies (7-11, 5-5) bounced back with a tally to tie the match at 1-1 at the half.
Kenyon scored the game-winner in the second half. Earlham led 17-16 in shots, while the Ladies led 20-13 in penalty corners. Earlham goalkeeper

Katharine Putney played the final matches on Comstock Field of their careers as they celebrated Homecoming and Senior Day.
The Quakers (4-9, 1-9) have three road matches remaining in the season. The first is on Tuesday as Earlham visits
Ohio Wesleyan University for a contest at 4:30 p.m.
Next Saturday, Earlham is at NCAC foe
Denison University for a match at noon. The final contest of the fall is now at
Transylvania University on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. That match was postponed due to rain on Oct. 14.
