The Earlham women's soccer team goes though warm-ups before a match in 2009.
RICHMOND, Ind. A goal late in the contest was the difference on Tuesday as the Earlham College women’s soccer team fell 1-0 at home to Wittenberg University.

Wittenberg (9-3-3, 4-2) scored at the 72:47 mark of the North Coast Athletic Conference affair on Matlack Field to take its one goal lead.

Shots for the match were even at 9-9, but the Tigers had a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Megan Holthaus had two saves for the Quakers

Earlham (9-6, 2-3) is back at Matlack Field on Saturday during Homecoming Weekend as the Quakers face Hiram College. The NCAC match gets underway at 1 p.m.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
