MEADVILLE, Pa. Allegheny College scored 39 seconds into the match on Saturday as the Gators defeated the Earlham College women’s soccer team 1-0 in a North Coast Athletic Conference match.

The Gators (10-4-1, 3-1-1) led 12-5 in shots and both team had one corner kick each.

Earlham goalkeeper Megan Holthaus had four saves for the Quakers, who began this week as the seventh-ranked team in the Great Lakes Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Earlham (9-5, 2-2) entertains Wittenberg University on Tuesday. The NCAC match on Matlack Field starts at 4 p.m.

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game was in Lexington on Feb.1.

Women's Basketball
Emily Sells scored 11 points against Transylvania University in an 84-80 loss on Feb. 1.

She posted team-high numbers with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
