Bill Kinsey became the head athletic trainer at Earlham College in January of 2005, after serving in the same capacity at Goshen College from 1998-2004.
Kinsey is a 1987 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1991 graduate of Indiana State University. He also earned a master’s degree in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University in 1993.
He was the head athletic trainer at Bloom High School near Chicago for five years prior to his time at Goshen. He also served as an athletic trainer at the Haverford School in Pennsylvania, while later working for a hospital and a therapy center.
Kinsey served as chairperson for the Indiana Athletic Trainers Association History and Archives Committee from 1998-2007. In 2010, Kinsey received an award from the IATA for distinguished service to the profession of Athletic Training in the State of Indiana.
He was also involved in the Seton Catholic school system in Richmond having served on the board from 2010-13.
Kinsey and his wife Kari, the gift and data entry specialist for Earlham's office of institutional advancement, have three children, Maggie, Ian, and Sean. His younger brother, John, works on campus for the Earlham dining service. The Kinsey's reside in Richmond.
