Joy Doucette
Women's Soccer
Earlham College first-year Joy Doucette was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for women’s soccer on Sunday night.

Doucette scored two of Earlham’s three goals last week as the Quakers qualified for the NCAC Tournament for the first time in school history.

She scored Earlham's only goal in Wednesday’s 1-1 double overtime tie at Kenyon that kept the Quakers alive for the post-season.

On Saturday, Doucette tied the Ohio Wesleyan University match with a score in the second half that helped the Quakers to a 2-1 victory over the Bishops.

For the season, Doucette leads the Quakers in scoring with six goals and five assists.

Football
Earlham College nose guard Chad Wertman was honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Sunday as the Defensive Player of the Week for football.

Wertman had 11 tackles for the Quakers in a 21-9 win over Kenyon College last Saturday. Five of the stops were solo and four were behind the line of scrimmage, which included a quarterback sack.

This year's Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame class featured seven inductees.

Hilt Johnson ’56,
Tom Rogers ’69, Jerry Banks ’72, Thomas Page ’85, Greg Williams ’89, Stan Hill ’93 and Wendi Weimer Fowler ’94 were honored during Homecoming Weekend on Friday, Oct. 23.
